Facebook users can now attach photos to comments

Image
(Credit: Facebook) Facebook is now letting its 1.11 billion members react to their friends' status updates with photo comments. The social network said Wednesday that it has started the global release of the new feature, which lets people add photos to comment threads using a new Attach a Photo button. To start, uploads of photo comments will be restricted to the Facebook Web site and mobile site, but simply viewing photo comments will be possible from Facebook's mobile applications, the company said. BlackBerry Messenger for Android coming June 27, 2013

Image
BlackBerry Messenger looks like it will be arriving for Android users on June 27th. We have yet to see the official confirmation from BlackBerry, however the June 27th date seems to keep popping up with this latest mention coming from T-Mobile UK. The carrier shared the date on Twitter and in addition to the Android release, it looks like iOS users will also be able to join in on the fun that same day. The details were on the lighter side and the message reads as follows; “Great news – BlackBerry Messenger will be available to download on iOS and Android from June 27th!” Looking back at the earlier BBM related leaks and chatter and we have noticed the previous Twitter account that shared the date has since been removed. We wouldn’t expect that to happen with the T-Mobile UK page, however we must remember that date is still unconfirmed until we hear something direct from BlackBerry. Otherwise, other recent BBM chatter included talk of the app being pre-loaded on select Android handsets...

Last week Twitter threw a challenge to the business. In what has been announced is moving towards making the presence of users' "more meaningful" is starting to roll out some major design changes to your profile page. Update aesthetic, which allows users to customize their Twitter profiles by adding banner header to an existing profile pictures and backgrounds, offering the opportunity for branding more visible. But there are concerns that too much visual branding can have a potentially adverse effect on the business of social presence 'if they fail to do it right, and goes against the grain of an existing Twitter user experience. Unlike Facebook cover landscape photography, where the image is the profile comfortably tucked in the upper left-hand, new Twitter avatar is positioned center-forward in the image header.
